I wrote an article last week about how I have fully embraced my new found Femme Supremacy, and I realized today that I had a few more things to say about these fuck ass men. For instance:

Did you know that sometimes when women are diagnosed with chronic and/or potentially terminal illnesses that their care teams have a special meeting to prepare them for the very real possibility that their partner will, at best leave them, or worst, sexually assault them during treatment and while they’re weak and vulnerable? Apparently it is not at all uncommon for nurses to come into chemo treatments and find women being forced by their partners into performing oral sex or worse. Because a man still has needs, ya know? Healing from toxic chemo treatments should never be a priority over your man’s libido. Perish the thought!

Did you know that it is so common for men to take their women to remote locations and either leave them there or just straight up kill them that there is an entire word for it? It’s called an Alpine Divorce.

Did you know that, in wartimes or natural disasters, men tell their women and girl family members to blow themselves up or set themselves on fire if a man that is not them walks through their doors because the alternative is worse? Aid workers believe that them helping victims entitles them to recompense in the form of coerced and forced sex. I watched a video recently from a former aid worker who said that her colleague had raped a man’s three daughters in their bedrooms while their father was held at gunpoint by his buddy and forced to listen while his daughters were assaulted, tortured, and violated. The cruel brutality is staggering.

I need the men in my life to understand that this is what it is to exist in this world as a woman. Every single day we move about this world fully knowing that at any moment we could become the focus of a bad man’s ire. That there are men all around us who belittle and degrade our very existence. Who believe we are nothing more than broodmares and housewives, here for no other reason than for their personal care and pleasure. That even our fathers, brothers, husbands, friends- men that are supposed to love us- have made comments about and around us that make us feel wildly unsafe and uncomfortable. And I am so fucking done.

I didn’t arrive to Femme Supremacy by accident. I was driven here, like so many other women. We are the mothers. We are the bearers of life. I will be goddamned if I, the creator of life, will ever bow to my creation. Every man alive starts out as a woman. Did you know that? Every single fetus starts out female, because we are the default. The baseline. The blueprint. It’s only a fluke of nature that testes start to form. You started as a woman and you were born to a woman. You are inferior creatures. It’s high time you started acting like it.
